At lunchtime, Leo realizes the her everyone is. When Leo questions whom he’s talking about, Kevin tells Leo he’ll know her when he sees her. Leo’s best friend, Kevin, asks Leo if he’s seen her yet. It's perfectly fine so if you have Disney plus you could watch it but i wouldn't buy it solely to watch this. Sixteen-year-old Leo Borlock arrives at Mica Area High School in Arizona for the first day of eleventh grade. He could still be in the movie but it should have been focused on her and her life and have her be our main character. This should have been her movie but we only follow her through the eyes of him. I also think the movie should have focused more on Stargirl and not on the male lead. It was more the screenplay that made the character do like cartoony actions that I just don't think ring true. I love a outcast 'weirdo' story and I appreciate that for people who feel the same way it can help them feel validated but I found this characterisation a little too caricature at Times not to say the lead was bad I thought she was really good. And I think that is this movies strongest asset, that it has heart in buckets full.

It was a bit cheesey at parts but it had a lot more heart. Stargirl Caraway will be played by Grace VanderWaal, a 2016 winner of America’s Got Talent, who, like Stargirl, sings and accompanies herself on the ukulele. It was perfectly fine and isn't as bad as say a Netflix teen movie. A Stargirl film adaptation is scheduled to be released on the new Disney+ streaming service in 2020. It has the squeaky cleanness of a DCOM but the production is more a cinematic release. Since it was in Disney Plus I wasn't sure if it was going to be a Disney channel original or like a cinema release type of movie. I hadn't really heard much about this movie so I didn't know what to expect.
